Full-time · Tilburg (HQ)

🚀 Join TRAVIS: the fast-growing SaaS scale-up digitizing the truck services industry.

Our marketplace (B2B platform and B2C app) standardizes the offering of thousands of truck service locations (e.g. truck washing, parking and charging) across Europe. Historically, all these locations were offered very decentralized, with their own structures on information, prices, services and payment options. With TRAVIS, companies that transport goods over land can make use of these services in a centralized and standardized way. We are trusted by the likes of Amazon, Girteka, DB Schenker and most of Europe’s largest transport companies. As we keep growing, we are looking for a new account executive to join our team.

🌍 We are looking for an experienced account manager in transport companies

Do you speak English (mandatory) and ideally one of the following languages: Lithuanian, Polish, German, Romanian, Bulgarian, Danish, Russian?

Great, you’re exactly who we want to talk to.
We welcome multilingual talents who can help us expand and strengthen our customer relationships across Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Goal - You manage and grow a portfolio of existing customers across Europe.
At a minimum, this means English-speaking customers and customers in additional language (see requirements section below).

  • KPIs – Yours will be retention, revenue growth and diversification of revenue.

  • Tracking results & patterns – You are aware of customer patterns, notice trends and opportunities in both our reporting tools and in your CRM-based activities, reports and pipeline overviews.

  • Build relationships - You build strong, long-term relationships with stakeholders and decision-makers at both medium and enterprise sized transport companies.

  • Customer management - You draft a plan to do customer business reviews and check-ins. In these, you identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities based on customer needs, usage patterns, and business goals TRAVIS has.

  • Account implementation & activation – Strong focus on drafting plans with customers that makes them go from pilot to loyal customer and from sales contact to a TRAVIS advocate that helps us grow internally.

  • Negotiations & contracts – You are in the lead for commercial (re)negotiations and drafting contracts that form a strong basis for continued future collaboration.

  • Product knowledge – In this role, you need a very strong understanding of our commercial, operational and technical ways of working. That way, you can actively check in with customers and partners on new ideas and initiatives that can drive revenue growth. You are expected to be able to be a bridge between customers and our product team.

  • Translating customer needs – You are expected to identify and translate customer needs into improved or new solutions. These can be commercial, operational or technical in nature.

Requirements

In this role, you will focus on developing and maintaining strong business relationships with our customers. Our minimum requirements and expectations for an ideal candidate are:

  • Languages: you speak English (mandatory) and ideally one of the following languages: Lithuanian, Polish, German, Romanian, Bulgarian, Danish, Russian.

  • Experience: you have worked in the transport industry (mandatory) and understand how transport companies and planners work, with a preference for experience in a commercial role. This can be either at a transport company, a TMS provider, a fuel card or another relevant party in the ecosystem.

  • Location: TRAVIS is based in Tilburg, NL and we prefer people to work (at least partially) from our office. If you have commercial industry experience, we consider working (mostly) remote an option.

Ideal hard skills for this role

  • Languages: fluency in English is required

  • Fluency in an additional European language is a plus.

  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience in the transport industry, with a preference for experience in a commercial role.

  • You have demonstrated experience in working with large, complex and C-level decision-makers and get excited by exploring and fostering these relations.

  • Proven experience to handle more complex accounts in negotiations, solution-based selling and challenger sales

  • Clear ideas and beliefs on how to built and grow a portfolio of customers by up- and cross-selling

  • Experience in opening market(s) or to a lesser degree specific industries / verticals is considered a plus

  • Experience in having a track record in building your own portfolio of clients from the ground up or managing an extensive portfolio is considered a plus.

Ideal soft skills for this role

  • Interpersonal skills & situational awareness; you are aware of your own personality type & communication style and are able to adapt quickly when interacting with people of different types and styles.

  • Ownership: in this role it is vital that you are assertive and have clear thoughts on how to get a (complex) task done and follow through when things get though.

  • Solution-oriented: throughout the sales cycle and our journey as a scale-up, there are growth blockers and accelerators. It is crucial that you are opportunistic by nature and have both the structure and creativity to identify issues and opportunities externally at clients and more internally in our soltions.

  • Eagerness to learn: in TRAVIS, we have people with 0 to 30 years of experience. What unites us all is the eagerness to keep developing ourselves. Be stubborn all you want, we like that. But do actively listen, because you never know everything.

  • Learning style: Though you will be trained and coached, the nature (and language) of the role, can make it hard for others to always give feedback on the spot. Thus, to really grow, people who actively share ideas on approach, best practices and barriers are the ones who do really well within TRAVIS.

  • Strong discipline in administration: Although we provide a lot of freedom, we are looking for clear structure in how you go about your week and how you log things in our CRM HubSpot. Outcome is always leading but we do want to see you use your time effectively.
