Job Description:

As a commercial intern in the TRAVIS Carrier sales team, you assist the team and our head of sales. The team's focus in on getting new customers (transport companies) started with TRAVIS and making them grow by using the services we offer on our platform.

There are ongoing tasks that revolve around our rhythm of weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings, progress and updates. Second, there are tasks that relate to research on markets and prospects for the team, with a specific focus on languages you speak and our small medium enterprise (SME) segment. Third, we can involve tasks that involve direct sales responsibilities to assist our account executives on some hands-on work, ranging from creation of materials to registrations and some outreach to smaller prospects or customers.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Qualify new customer registrations by researching their profiles online, decision-making units on tools like LinkedIn and summarize these into clean, actionable leadlists for the sales team.

  • Initiate reachouts to potential clients and nurture relationships.

  • Assist in the activation process for new customers to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.

  • Help prepare data and insights on weekly, monthly and quarterly basis for team meetings, progress reports and goal setting or tracking purposes.

  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify areas for improvement in the CRM system to facilitate more effective sales reach outs.

  • Work towards increasing CRM utilization to efficiently handle more deals and acquire new clients.

  • Support marketing initiatives to complement sales efforts and enhance brand visibility.

  • Commercial skills: you are entrepreneurial, opportunistic, and resilient.

  • Ownership: you do what you promise and look at what you can rather then what you cannot do.

  • Drive: by nature you identify gaps and do more than what is asked. Tasks finds their way toward you.

  • Data-driven: it helps if you are comfortable with Excel and AI tools that can automate tasks & research.

  • Project-management: you work precisely, meet deadlines and can clearly explain what you have done.

Depending on your skills and ambitions we can tailor the internship. Either a bit more towards a research-oriented internship or one more focused on direct sales and getting hands-on experience in talking to and working with (potential) customers.

About the team you will join:

  • We work with and for hundreds of transport companies throughout Europe across many countries and languages. They all use our products and services in multiple ways. As a result, you have the ability to learn a lot about all sorts of client profiles, customer journeys and sales techniques.

  • The team consists of 6 people working the different markets with both individual and shared goals. You will assist and work with them all but with a focus on the markets where your language skills are at B2 level or above (ideally C1/C2).

  • We are all young, ambitious and take a lot of ownership. For us this is key, you get out of your internship what you are willing to put in. We appreciate boldness and the more you want to do, the more will come your way.
