 Main Purpose of the role: 

As DevOps Engineer at TRAVIS Road Services, you will play a critical role in building functional systems that will help improve our customer's experience and the team's productivity. You will work with our team of developers daily to analyse data from existing systems. You will be able to use this data to create and implement improved system software.  Ensure stability and scalability of our infrastructure and development tools. Industry leaders such as Amazon and GIRTEKA have already fully integrated their systems with our platform; hundreds of their truck services are automatically booked via TRAVIS daily. You will automate the software development process as much as possible. This involves implementing continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines that allow for faster and more frequent releases of software. You will also be responsible for the development and maintenance of our development toolkit. Ultimately, you will have a significant impact on the developer team's systems development life cycle. Together you will provide continuous delivery of new features with high software quality.

Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for the stability and security of the infrastructure 

• Provide support for the TRAVIS application to the Development Team 

• Automate the infrastructure and tooling setup 

• Setup and maintain security monitoring, logging, and auditing solutions 

• Plan and automate disaster recovery  

• Setup and support build and deployment pipelines 

Requirements:

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code 

• Some coding/scripting experience 

• Have a collaborative attitude when it comes to teamwork. 

• Have at least 5 years of experience in Linux server management 

• At least bachelor's degree working and thinking level  

• Are fluent in English (both spoken and written) 

• Fully embrace our Core Values and act in line with them 

• Have a background in Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field 

• Have a solid understanding of git and git workflows 

• Have a familiarity with databases and SQL 

• Experience with the development and implementation of large-scale engineering applications 

• Have experience in setting up and managing VPN networks 

• Docker and K8S configuration experience
