What to expect from the internship


Main Purpose of the Role:

The lead sourcing intern supports the sales teams by identifying, researching, and qualifying potential leads to build a robust sales pipeline. The primary objective of this role is to assist in expanding the Travis network of truck parking, truck wash and tank cleaning locations by discovering new business opportunities, ensuring data accuracy in CRM systems, and providing actionable insights to optimize lead generation efforts.

There are two available positions for this internship: one working closely with the Network Sales team, and one with the Fleet Sales team. The Network Sales role is purely sales-focused, while the Fleet Sales role also involves collaboration with the marketing department, offering exposure to cross-functional projects and brand-related initiatives.

These roles are ideal for someone looking to start a career in sales with a focus on research, data management, and market insights.

Responsibilities: 

  • Perform in-depth research on potential new service locations across more than 20 countries in Europe to source high-quality leads that align with the TRAVIS location audience.

  • Evaluate leads based on criteria such as key location, onsite facilities, accessibility, and revenue potential to ensure they are a good fit for the company’s offerings.

  • Regularly cleanse and manage lead databases to remove outdated or duplicate records, keeping the sales pipeline organized.

  • Work closely with sales representatives to understand lead quality and feedback, ensuring continuous improvement of lead sourcing efforts.

  • Support either the Fleet Sales or Network Development team, depending on the selected role. (If supporting the Network team, you will also collaborate with the marketing department on tasks such as newsletter content, website optimization (SEO), and marketing asset distribution to boost brand visibility.)

  • Contribute to both short-term outreach needs and long-term lead generation strategy.

Requirements:

  • Education: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master's degree in Commercial Economics, Business, Marketing, or a related field. (You need to be a student for the entire duration of the internship.)

  • Language Skills: Strong proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills; additional languages are a plus.

  • Analytical Ability: Comfortable working with data, analyzing information, and presenting findings to support sales strategies.
