Main Purpose of the role: 

As a Junior Software Engineer with Travis, you actively participate and learn all stages of our engineering process. Your engagement spans system design, development, testing, and the vital tasks of documenting and help to maintain the Travis application. 

You will be in a DevOps-friendly environment, using tools and processes for fast software development and deployment, continuous integration/delivery, automated quality checks, and operational metrics accessible to development and product teams.

 Responsibilities: 

• Work on stability and security of the application 

• Provide support for the TRAVIS application to all TRAVIS departments 

• Create new features and make our platform future proof 

• Improve our applications by designing, developing, testing, and maintaining the software 

• Implement solutions provided by senior team members through documented instructions. 

Requirements: 

• Knowledge of PHP and SQL, interested in other languages 

• Knowledge of Symfony, Docker, Composer is appreciated 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field 

• Know about and champion Agile and test-driven development; 

• Basic level working knowledge of software development life cycle, test driven development, continuous integration and continuous delivery 

• Are fluent in English (both spoken and written).
